I
honestly don't even remember how I came about being apart of this team
but, I just want to say it was one of the best things that has ever
happened to me.My best friends today were people I met by being apart of
something great. Thanks Fried for the opportunity, It was a great
experience full of memories that will last a long time.
Baseball and football are very different games. In a way, both of them
are easy. Football is easy if you're crazy as hell. Baseball is easy
if you've got patience.
They'd both be easier for me if I were a little more crazy - and a
little more patient.

Bernard Klinger a.k.a. Fuego #
84
Team member for 4 years
-My favorite moment was during
one of the games in the J league. I didn't really play much all game and
Fried looked at me and said Bernard you ready to make a play, I looked
at Fried and said I'm ready. I was playing the front right side, i
remember Sean Klitzner telling the QB that he has a huge mismatch on me
and that its an easy first down. That same play the QB threw the ball to
Sean and I dove right in front of it and Intercepted it.
-Also playing in Iowa for the Jr
Olympics in the summer of 2005 was awesome. we were playing for the
Bronze medal and i was dead tired. My muscles were all tense and my legs
were just killing me but i still played my heart out and put it all out
on the field. I couldn't even control which way my legs were moving
anymore. At the end of the game we came out on top and even though we
didn't play for the Gold it was still a incredible feeling and a major
accomplishment to come out with the Bronze medal with the young team
that we had.
-Some other favorite moments
have to be when Adam Supraski stretched his ball sack to his knees after
dinner one night. Also when Ariel Levy's mom cooked Shabbat dinner and
it stunk up the whole entire bus, we ended up throwing that food away
and going to sweet tomatos. One of the funniest moments from all of our
trips was when we were in Jacksonville and Willie May the bus
driver told those guys "We Kosha We don't eat pork". What about when
Yossi started crying during the world cup in cocoa beach hahahahah.....J/K
Yos i love you..
-There are so many funny moments
but I cant put them all down here...
-The worst moments were when
Fried got kicked out at nationals and when Yossi went down with a
concussion and John Goldberg refused to play QB.
-My Quote:" Some people want it
to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.”
-Other quotes: "Not a problem"
-Leo.....

**I miss this team so much and
it was really an amazing experience, I wish we would have accomplished
more as a team but it was still incredible. Every time I think of the
trips and tournaments I just wanna go back and do it again it was so
much fun. |

1 year on Mo Steel
Personal accomplishments: Making
the best friends of my life through this team, establishing
relationships that are thicker than blood, actually being on the team
(waited three years), played great this past summer and managed to start
at the Jr Olympics and played my heart out.
Favorite Moment: The whole Jr.
Olympics. I worked my ass off for 2 weeks during the summer. I only
missed one, two-hour practice and never sat out a single drill. When the
tournament ended, I accomplished what I came for. It was my personal
best performance. One play, i was the primary coming out of the
backfield to the left and a defensive man followed me out to cover me.
As he was running side-ways towards me, I remember what was taught to me
about the play: "If someone is covering you, do a swim move and cut
under" That was exactly what i did, and cut right under the defender and
caught the ball for the extra point.

Israel trip was the best
experience of my life. From playing ultimate frisbee in the middle of
the desert at night for two hours, to teaching Israelis how to play
football, I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Best birthday of my
life; Masada, dead sea and two football games in the wet, blistering
cold. |

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is
that we
are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is
nothing
enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure
around
you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of
us;
it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously
give
other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own
fear, our presence automatically liberates others. "- Coach Carter

Steven O'Hayon
QB #11
4 years on the team
I grew as a great leader and
player. I was able to learn to think more about the game and what I
needed to do to get US to win. I learned how to play on a team,
how to work like a team, how without great teammates and especially a
spectacular coach, nothing can ever be accomplished. I learned that hard
work can get you to any place you want to go to. I accomplished many
feats during my 4 years on Mo Steel, but i have realized that i
personally, could have done nothing without my teammates and coach.
There were too many amazing
moments for me to be able to pick only one. But if i had to, winning the
World Cup in Vancouver, Canada probably tops it all. Representing your
country and then being crowned as the 'World's Best' , is an experience
that has settled inside of me and will dwell there for ever. I would
have to say that no other experience can ever be greater than August 7,
2004 in Vancouver, Canada.

many championships that i never thought i would have. Won offensive
player of the year for 03-04. Won a bronze medal and silver medal at the

Favorite Moment: Winning the
Nataional Championship in Orlando. It was the first championship we won
as a team. It was by far the most incredible experience i have ever been
through. Also, in Vancouver being there as a team and family was a
heartwarming experience, and something i will never get a chance to do
again.

moment is when our team played team GOLD in the 4 on 4 South Miami
league this was during the playoffs single elimination, and it came down
to the last play and they had the ball on the goal line, if they scored
we won and if we stoped them we won, i ended up sacking the quaterback

isn't everything, why do they keep score?" |

Favorite Quote
- I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost
300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and
missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is
why I succeed.
~ Michael Jordan
and
For
me, winning isn't something that happens suddenly on the field when the
whistle blows and the crowds roar. Winning is something that builds
physically and mentally every day that you train and every night that
you dream.

Favorite
Moment
- Winning the Gold Medal in the 2006 AAU Junior Olympics in Virginia
Beach, Virginia. Another one of my favorite moments were going around
the globe to places like China and Israel with my teammates who became
my brothers.
The Program
- For me it started out when I was 12 years old playing on the JCC
Hurricanes. We were a bunch of kids who had never before played and
didn’t really know the game. That whole year was a very difficult year
and only 2 players on that team returned the following season. I
remember I called Fried that summer to see when the try-outs were for
next year and he asked me if I had gotten faster taller and
stronger over the summer. Since I had become all of those he wanted me
to try-out for Mo Steel instead of the Hurricanes. I was 12 years old
and the youngest member of the team. Fried told me that year that I
wasn’t going to get much playing time and I had to be patient and wait
for my opportunity. My moment to shine came 10 months later in the 2004
AAU Junior Olympics. In the bronze medal game on 4th down we were down
by 3 with little time left and the play was a broken play. I remember
getting myself open and I caught the game winning touchdown. I believe
that, that one catch catapulted my career on the team. From then on
things only got better. That year we qualified for the NFL World
Championships in Beijing, China. We trained for months for that
tournament and we finished 2nd place in the world, an unbelievable
accomplishment. After that I played my last year on the team and
finished it off with my Gold Medal. Being on Mo Steel was the best thing
to ever happen to me and I made me meet some of my best friends that I
still have today. We were like one family of brothers and it didn’t
matter who we were up against, we ALWAYS stuck together.
2 NFL
National Championships; 1 World Championship; 4 USFTL Championships;
World Cup 5 man Championship; 4 World Cup 8 man Championships; Bronze
AAU
Iowa; Silver AAU New Orleans; Gold AAU Virginia; 2nd Place NFL World Cup
in
Bejing China; 2 Let it Fly National Championship; Regional Championships
